PM E-Vehicle Subscidy details
A maximum subsidy of ₹10,000 will be available in the first year. In the second year, ₹2,500 per kilo watt is paid. The government has said that the amount of subsidy cannot exceed ₹5 thousand.
Three-wheelers including e-autorickshaws will get a subsidy of ₹25,000 in the first year and ₹12,500 in the second year. Vehicles belonging to L5 category (cargo tricycle) will get subsidy of ₹50,000 in the first year and ₹25,000 in the second year.
Electric scooter makers Ola, TVS, Airtha Energy, Hero Vida (Hero MotoCorp) and Bajaj’s Chetak range in battery capacity from 2.88 to 4 kilowatts. These are priced from ₹90 thousand to ₹1.5 lakh.
