Afternoon, evening and night showers are forecast at isolated coastal districts of Karnataka including Kasaragod. Uttara Kannada may be a bit more. But if it is less in the coastal parts, it may be a little more in the lower ghat areas. As of now, there are indications that monsoon will continue till October 24
Mountain states: Good rain with thundershower is forecast in most parts of Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru and Shimoga districts. As of now, monsoon rains are likely to continue till October 24
Inland: Scattered cloud and normal rain is forecast at a few places in Raichur Koppal, Yadgiri, Kalaburgi and Bidar districts of North Inland. Haveri, Dharwad, Belgaum (including Athani), Bagalkote, Gadag, Davangere districts have forecast good rain with thundershowers.
While scattered normal rains are forecast in Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Tumkur (Pavagarh may be more) districts of southern interior, most parts of Mysore, Mandya, Ramanagara, Chitradurga districts have forecast of good rain with thunder. As of now, there are indications that monsoon will continue till October 24.
The Arabian Sea depression is moving westwards and its influence over the state is decreasing and trade winds are intensifying. On October 21, there are indications of a depression in the east coast of Andaman, which will turn into a severe cyclone.
It is expected to reach Odisha or West Bengal coast on October 24 or 25. As a result of this, there is a possibility that the monsoon will move back.
