Rainfall is expected across several regions in India on November 27, 2024, with significant activity concentrated in southern states due to a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and southern Andhra Pradesh are likely to experience isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall. In particular, coastal districts like Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, and Karaikal could see extremely heavy downpours. Moderate rainfall is also forecasted for interior districts in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Coast: Kasaragod, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi districts are forecast to have sunny and dry weather with scattered light clouds. Sunny and dry weather will continue in Uttara Kannada. As of now, chances of rain in coastal areas are diminishing.
Malenadu: Kodagu and Hassan districts are forecast to have cloudy weather and chances of rain are less. Chikkamagaluru and Shimoga districts are forecasted to have dry weather with scattered light clouds.
As of now, except for Kodagu, the chances of rain in other parts of the hill country are decreasing. There is a possibility of scattered showers in Kodagu from December 1 for 2 or 3 days. (may change)
Interior: Dry air will continue in most parts of northern interior. Cloudy and scattered showers are forecast in south interior Mysore and Chamarajanagar districts.Mandya, Ramanagara, Bangalore, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Tumkur districts will have cloudy weather and there is a chance of showers in the parts near the Tamil Nadu border.
The depression over the Bay of Bengal shows signs of moving northwards and is expected to reach the Bengal coast on November 29 or 30. As the depression moves northwards, the state may experience more squally conditions.
