Horticulture Department has invited applications from eligible Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other categories of farmers under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana for the year 2024-25.
Subsidy will be given to all categories of farmers growing horticulture crops (except coffee, tea and rubber crops) up to a maximum area of 5 hectares per beneficiary and up to 2 hectares for vegetable and flower crops.

Sprinkler irrigation facility under Krishi Sinchai Yojana
Under the Centrally Awarded Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchaya Yojana- Chief Minister’s Micro Irrigation Program, the farmers will get full benefits without any additional subsidy cuts, the Office of the Joint Director of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture said in a release.
The department has already received a program for the distribution of sprinkler units in the current year and applications are being received from farmers. Soon the mandate will be given to the farmers and sprinkler irrigation units will be provided to all the farmers up to 2 hectares with 90% subsidy.
How is implementation( Work)
There is no system of direct payment to farmers under this scheme. Instead, the farmers who have applied for the project will be provided and installed pipe sets for drip irrigation through a specific organization. 90% of the expenses are covered by the government. 10% of the cost should be borne by the farmers or cultivators. A certain company will come and install the pipe.
What is the facility?
Farmers with less than one acre land will be provided with 18 pipe, 3 pipecap, 3 sprinkler, 1 bend, 1 end plug etc. 8 materials. When the land is more than one acre, 30 to 41 pipes, 5 to 9 caps each, 8 accessories including sprinkler are provided.
Grants Sanction under the scheme?
Maximum Rs 13,211 when the land is less than one acre. 2,496 if spent. Farmers had to give. When the land was more than one acre, it cost Rs 19,429 to Rs 28,050, while farmers had to pay Rs 4,139 to Rs 5,772. It is per cent. 90 subsidy is calculated.
