The Central Government has implemented the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme to provide financial support to farmers. Annual financial assistance is provided under this scheme to all cultivable land holding farmer families across the country subject to certain criteria.
Kisan Samman Fund amount increased?
A pre-budget meeting for the year 2025-26 was held recently under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Farmers and leaders of farmer organizations who participated in the meeting submitted many demands to the government.
Farmers who are beneficiaries of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana) have been given an important update. Now, to avail the benefits of this scheme, farmers will have to fulfill the new eligibility criteria.
Henceforth, only the farmers who are registered in the farmer register will get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana. The Central Government has made registration in the Farmers Register mandatory for installments released after December 31, 2024.
The government gives farmers ₹ 6000 every year in three installments, which are directly transferred to their bank accounts. But now, registration in the Farmer Register is required to avail the benefits of the scheme.
How to check your Pm kisan eligibity?
First go to pmkisan.gov.in website. Scroll down on the website and click on ‘List of Beneficiaries’. Fill all your information on the new page. Select State, District, Sub-Division, Block and Village. Then click on ‘Get Report’ button.
A list of beneficiaries will open before you. If your name is in the list, you will be eligible for 19th installment.
