However, for the past three months, Gruha Lakshmi beneficiaries have not received their payments, causing concern among women. There is now information on when the pending funds will be credited.

Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar’s health has improved, but the 15th installment of the scheme has yet to be disbursed in some districts. Women are eagerly awaiting the release of the 16th and 17th installments. Sources indicate that the government has approved the funds, and they will be credited in phases. It is expected that the 15th and 16th installments will be deposited by the end of this month.

Preparations are underway to release the pending funds step by step. The disbursement process has already begun, and sources suggest that by the end of this week, the money will reach beneficiaries’ bank accounts. Due to logistical challenges, the government cannot release all funds simultaneously for all districts, which is why the payments are being processed gradually. Delays have occurred due to efforts to streamline the fund transfer process.

In some districts, the 15th installment has not yet been credited, leaving beneficiaries anxious. It is expected to be deposited by February 15, with full disbursement across all districts likely by February 20.

Many districts have already received the 15th installment, while a few are still awaiting the funds. Meanwhile, the government is considering changes to the Gruha Lakshmi payment system. Instead of direct bank transfers to beneficiaries, the funds may be distributed through the Taluk Panchayat. This change is expected to reduce the burden on the Women and Child Welfare Department.

With funds pending for three months, many women are expressing concerns over the government’s new decision. Under the revised plan, the funds will be transferred from the State Secretariat to local Taluk Panchayats, which will then distribute them to beneficiaries. While this approach aims to ensure accountability, it has also raised fears of potential corruption.
