If you are a ration card holder, it is very important to complete your e-KYC before December 1. Failure to do this may result in cancellation of your ration card.
The central government has already issued instructions to all ration card holders to do e-KYC, with September 1 as the last date.
However, the government had extended one month for those who did not do e-KYC. Now this date has been extended till November 30. If you are unable to complete e-KYC by this date, your ration card will be cancelled.
The Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs said that all members who have not registered or re-registered their identity as ration card holders should visit their nearest Fair Price Shops and submit their fingerprints for e-KYC collection process by November 30.
No money can be given for this. Beneficiaries who have not done Aadhaar Verification (e-KYC) will be stopped allotment of ration in the month of December.
Therefore, every ration card member who has not done e-KYC should also visit the fair price shops and give their thumbprint and get name re-registration (e-KYC) done, the release said.
