Empowering Women Through Agricultural Modernization
The Namo Drone Didi Yojana, introduced as part of India’s efforts to modernize agriculture, is a revolutionary initiative aimed at empowering rural women in traditionally male-dominated fields. The program provides women with training to operate drones and deliver essential agricultural services to local farmers. Launched by the central government in 2023, the Namo Drone Didi Yojana empowers women in agriculture through drone technology, opening new opportunities for them to engage in modern farming techniques.
15-Day Training Program
Under this scheme, women receive 15 days of training to learn how to operate drones. Along with the training, each participant is provided with financial assistance of ₹15,000.
Who Can Benefit from the Scheme?
Women who meet the following criteria are eligible for this program:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Should belong to lower economic backgrounds.
- Must have an agricultural background.
- Only women can apply for the scheme.
