Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a flagship scheme of the government aimed at providing housing to economically weaker sections of the country. Change in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana eligibility?
In Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0 some significant changes have been made in the eligibility conditions so that more people can avail the benefits of the scheme. Earlier, individuals with monthly income up to Rs 10,000 are eligible for this scheme.This limit has now been increased to Rs 15,000 per month. Moreover, middle class families will also be able to benefit from this scheme.
Further, those who previously owned a two-room mud house, a fridge or a two-wheeler are not eligible for this scheme. But, now in this new scheme these rules have been relaxed. Now despite these facilities, individuals can avail the benefits of this scheme.

You will get your house in 90 days! The government has announced that under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0, houses will be provided to eligible persons in just 90 days. For this, the government will soon start a survey to identify all the eligible people to take advantage of the scheme.A survey will be conducted to ensure that every poor person in urban and rural areas gets houses.

Steps to apply PMAY
*Select the ‘Benefits under Other 3 Units’ option in the ‘Civic Assessment’ menu of the website.
* Enter Aadhaar Card Number and Name. * After verifying the Aadhaar number, the application page will be opened where the applicant can fill all their information.
*After filling all the required information, enter the captcha and click on the ‘Save’ button.
* Download the application form, take a printout of it and keep it safe for future.
*After this, go to the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or bank and submit the application form along with the necessary documents.
* You can track the application status on the website by assessee ID or name, father’s name and mobile number.
