Modi government has come up with the most ambitious. PM Kisan scheme for farmers. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Yojana provides loans to Indian farmers to buy tractors. This scheme provides financial assistance to farmers to use tractors required for farming.

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Yojana will improve the lives of farmers. This scheme helps in increasing product quality, crop productivity by using tractor properly.

Farmers who wish to purchase tractors under PM Kisan Tractor Scheme are requested to apply online or to the concerned departmental authorities. Eligible farmers need to pay only half of the price of the tractor. The other half will be paid by the central government.

As there is a 50 percent subsidy, In the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Yojana will be available if the farmers pay half the amount. This half payment also has loan facility. Some states have announced subsidy by the state governments along with central government subsidy. In some states including Haryana and Jharkhand, the total subsidy will be a maximum of 80 percent.

Eligibility to get Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Yojana

  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen
  • Applicant’s age should be above 18 years and below 60 years
  • Applicant’s family income should not exceed 1.5 lakh per annum
  • Applicants are small farmers
  • A farmer who buys a tractor must have agricultural land in his name
  • Applicant should not be a beneficiary of any other subsidy based scheme
  • A farmer applying for a tractor should not have purchased any tractor in the last 7 years.

Document required to get subsidy for tractor

  • Aadhaar card Bank account details Identity Document (including PAN Card, Voter’s Card, Passport, Driving License, etc.) Portrait (Passport Size Photo) Land details, deed.
  • Information to be filled by the farmer in the application Name of Applicant (Name on Aadhaar Card)
  • Applicant’s date of birth Gender Name of father or husband Address of the applicant, District, Taluk, Hobli Caste details
  • Applicant’s mobile number.
