Village Administrative Officer: Exam date and selection process Released

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct the examinations for the post of Village Administrative Officer of the Revenue Department in September and October and has already released the schedule.

KEA has given some instructions to the candidates who have applied for these posts to check their application status and fee payment status.

In case the application submitted for the post of Village Administrative Officer is not accepted, such candidates are advised to submit the supplementary documents to the Karnataka Examination Authority by August 26. Applications without supporting documents will be rejected. So check the application, fee payment status.

How to check Status of Application

  • Click on ‘Recruitment’ option.
  • Select ‘Village Administrator-Application and Fee Status Link’ option.
  • Then enter the application number, date of birth information, captcha code on the new page that opens.
  • Click on ‘Search’. Now information about your application status, fee status will appear.

In case the application of the candidates is not accepted in the published link, the supplementary documents regarding completion of application and payment of fee should be submitted to the authority by August 26 in person or by post. All the candidates who have applied for the post of village administration must appear for the compulsory Kannada language test. Compulsory Kannada exam will be held on September 29.

It is mandatory to appear in the Kannada language test and score at least 50 marks out of 150 marks. If you do not qualify in this examination, you will not be allowed to appear in the competitive examination. Executive Director Prasanna explained that only those candidates who qualified in the Kannada language test will be allowed to appear for the competitive examination which includes Paper-1 and Paper-2 on October 27.

Exam Pattern

This exam will be conducted in offline-OMR mode. There will be 2 papers of 200 marks for the exam. In addition, Kannada language test is compulsory, in which at least 50 marks should be scored. The announcement said that the exams will be conducted in all the district centers of the state. Earlier, selection for the posts was done on the basis of merit under the leadership of the District Collector on the basis of secondary PUC or 12th class marks. But this time the selection method has been changed.

The ranking list of the candidates will be released after the competitive examination. Then the district wise toppers will be allotted seats through counselling. Identify the posts as per the fixed reservation and fill the posts accordingly.
