Coast: Kasaragod, Dakshina Kannada districts are forecasted to have scattered showers in the afternoon and evening. There is a chance of normal rain at a couple of places. There is a possibility of normal rain in a few places of Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts.
As of now, there is less chance of rain on December 11, and on 12th and 13th, there is a forecast of normal rain with scattered low pressure in Kasaragod, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. Although there will be a respite later, there are indications that the low pressure rains will continue from December 16.
Mountain region : Cloudy weather will prevail in the coastal areas of Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru and Shimoga districts, with a couple of showers forecast in the evening. As of now, on December 12 and 13, Kodagu,In Hassan and Chikmagalur districts there is a forecast of low pressure rain. It will subside later and rains are predicted to continue from December 16 with another barometric pressure drop.
Interior: Dry air will continue in most parts of north and south interior. Scattered light cloud is also possible.
As of now, on 11th of December, there will be scattered showers of low barometric pressure in Karnataka Tamil Nadu border areas and on 12th, normal rains will be scattered in southern hinterland. Although it will decrease later, there are signs that the rain will continue from December 16.
A depression near Sri Lanka is expected to reach the Tamil Nadu coast on December 11 and move towards South Kerala on December 12.
