The Gruhalakshmi Scheme is a flagship welfare initiative launched by the Karnataka government aimed at providing financial support to women as part of their empowerment efforts. Under this scheme, eligible women who are heads of their households receive a fixed monthly allowance.
There is a possibility of an increase in the monthly allowance for Gruha Lakshmi beneficiaries soon. Currently, ₹2,000 is being provided monthly, and the state government is considering raising this amount.
The state budget will be presented on March 7, during which the monthly allowance for Gruha Lakshmi beneficiaries may be increased from ₹2,000 to ₹2,300.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will take the final decision expected to announced in budget 2025, keeping in mind the overall financial situation of the state. Answers to these questions are expected soon.
